Picosecond Laser

What Is A Picosecond Laser Treatment?

Pico Laser treatments involve the use of high-powered picosecond lasers to correct skin flaws. The laser pulse treats your skin from underneath, meaning that your outer layer of skin is basically untouched. Before the skin can even heat up, the laser light vaporizes the flaw underneath the skin.

A carbon laser peel, also called Hollywood peel or charcoal peel, is a facial treatment combining the benefits of charcoal and the Q-Switch laser technology.

The main goal of this peel facial is to rejuvenate the skin. The laser facial is designed to reduce the signs of skin aging, big pores, or skin damage, such as acne and scars.  It creates a softer, glowing appearance that will have your red carpet ready in no time!

First, the laser targets the pigmented areas of your skin to break up the cells so your body can naturally eliminate them, the laser light is super attracted to carbon particles, its energy and heat is absorbed by the carbon paste destroying the particles in your pores. Light from the laser is attracted to the carbon.

Second, the laser energy heats the deeper layers of your skin, which causes the cells to contract, creating an instant lift that smooths out lines and wrinkles. The energy also stimulates the production of collagen to improve skin strength and elasticity. The carbon paste absorbs dirt from the pores of the skin and exfoliates.

You can expect to feel your skin tightened, hydrated, and brightened immediately after your first treatment. Although, In order to receive lasting results, it is best to come in every 2 to 4 weeks for a treatment.

This peel, is suitable for all ages. It can be used safely on all skin types and is most useful when the skin is already healthy or only mildly damaged.  This facial treatment has a cumulative effect. Successive sessions improve the results.  It is designed to increase your skin’s fitness and elasticity, as well as even out the color.

This facial can treat the following skin problems:

  • Dull, sagging skin in need of a collagen boost and extra glow
  • Oily and combo skin types in need of a pore cleanse
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Uneven skin tones
  • Redness and brown spots
  • Fine lines and acne scars

Why Tattoos are Removed?

You might consider tattoo removal if you regret a tattoo or you're unhappy with the appearance of your tattoo. Perhaps the tattoo has faded or blurred, or you decide that the tattoo doesn't fit your current image.  Tattoo removal might also be important if you develop an allergic reaction to the tattoo or other complications, such as an infection.

Laser surgery Q-switched lasers — which release energy in a single, powerful pulse — are often the treatment of choice for tattoo removal.

Before laser treatment, the skin is numbed with a local anesthetic. Then a powerful pulse of energy is applied to the tattoo to heat and shatter the tattoo ink. Multicolored tattoos might need treatment with various lasers and different wavelengths.

After the procedure, you might notice swelling and possibly blistering or bleeding. Antibacterial ointment can help promote healing. You'll likely need repeated sessions to lighten the tattoo, and it might not be possible to completely erase the tattoo.

Tips for Recovery After Tattoo Removal:  Tattoos used to be considered permanent, but thanks to advances in laser technology, today’s lasers can get rid of tattoos more safely and effectively, including removing tattoo ink with fewer treatments and treating ink colors that were once difficult to remove.

If you’re thinking about removing a tattoo, you should know one key fact:

Lasers have largely replaced other tattoo-removal methods.  Thanks to recent advances in laser technology, today’s lasers can:

  • Get rid of tattoos more safely and effectively
  • Remove tattoo ink with fewer treatments
  • Treat ink colors that were once difficult to remove

While the technology has improved, your results still depend almost entirely on the person performing the tattoo removal.

Before and after laser tattoo removal:  Why do I need a consultation?  There’s actually a lot to consider before removing a tattoo. This includes:

  • How long you’ve had the tattoo
  • How deeply the ink penetrates your skin
  • The colors in your tattoo
  • Where the tattoo appears on your body
  • Your health
  • The medicines you take
  • If you’ve ever had a raised scar

A consultation can be helpful for you, too.  It gives you an opportunity to ask questions.  You may want to ask to see before-and-after photos of patients with laser tattoo removal.  Seeing these photos can show you what to expect.

For laser tattoo removal to be safe and effective, the person removing the tattoo must consider many things, including your health.

What are the possible side effects of laser tattoo removal?  Some people develop light or dark spots on their skin. These spots tend to disappear within 6 to 12 months.
